Agree in general the last episode was a dampener. That song/dance sequence was where I switched off.
The story arc for Kat is also so fucking lame. Like all of a sudden she approaches the guy (what after day, months??) and confronts him about the woman he was speaking to for like 6 seconds at the carnival ? I felt like her evolution into a dominatrix would really go somewhere interesting.
Also, the abortion scene was so bleagh. I mean it all just felt like a rushed attempt to bring everything together.
I also don't get the Maddy/Nate dynamic. I can see how it is abusive. But when he was charged and expelled how was he still able to meet her- would there be no restraining order from meeting your victim? And then suddenly in episode 8 he has a new prom date?
It just feels like the series is going through ticking all the usual teen problems issues now.
