I made this budget spreadsheet when I moved to cities this month. I thought PF would appreciate it.

I have a question. And it's going to sound mean. But it's not intended as mean, I just really really want to know and this time I'm gonna ask.

If a Redditor posts something country-specific, but doesn't identify which country they're from, 99.5% of the time they're going to be American. Everyone else says "a budget tool to work out taxes in the UK" or "South Africa" or whatever. And I can never figure out why Americans do this. So I'm asking you, genuinely just wanting to know.

Had you not realised that Reddit is an international site, and thought your audience was all Americans, so you don't need to specify..? or...? That's the only scenario that makes sense to me. That's why I'm asking.

(Similarly, Americans are the only people who say "Are there any [type of store or whatever] in [city]?" without specifying the country. Unless it's LONDON or something, if they don't say the country, it's an American.) It feels really insulting to the rest of the world, but you seem lovely! I'm sure you don't mean to insult! So what can be the reason for it!

I know this is totally unrelated, this post just happened to be the straw that broke the camels back for me. Please downvote so it doesn't derail the conversation about budgeting, but please answer.
