Well it seems like Im in the minority lol. Which is why I posted it. I dont want to make the decision with a biased frame of mind.
My perspective is player 7 didnt make the playoffs. I don't think he should be given free entry because somone else doesnt play their match. In my mind, if you're playing in a tournament and your first round opponent doesnt show up, its a forfeit. They dont put someone else in his spot. Now if player 6 dropped out mid season or something, then totally 6 moves up, no question there. Can anyone think of a real world reference where something like this has happened. Golf maybe? Say cutoff is 10 over. Player 64 drops out. Is that spot now open for someone that didnt originally make the cut?
