Not sure why you're getting downvoted. 24 hrs a day, 8 hrs of sleep, and a 12 hr workday equals 4 hours of free time, not 8/9. If this person's commute/getting ready takes 2 hours each way I'd suggest taking a pay cut and working closer because they'd probably save money and maybe women should stop acting like it's a requirement to get up early to put on makeup (I say this as a woman who has worked in corporate accounting both in office and at home for years. Dress for a business environment and you'll be fine, it's not the 50s, companies get sued for gendered dress codes nowadays)

The issue is social media and consumption have made people take no joy in basic tasks that used to be a blessing so they feel anything that isn't an insta worthy task is a "chore." It's a blessing to cook a meal for yourself. Turn it into a hobby. It's a blessing to have a clean home. Take pride it in. It all becomes a lot more fun that way. At the end of day 95% of us are going to work most of our lives so make the best of it. People are way too selfish to ever enact the change reddit wants to see with work.
