I can’t say that I’m shocked because I’ve heard reddit users can be terrible but this level of hostility and rudeness is unnecessary. I am not an Amazon shill. I’m someone who used to waste a lot of time on Amazon and now I don’t. I’ve been very clear about this. I really thought I would find a tribe of like-minded people who would appreciate each other and support each other as we scale down our consumption. If you carefully read my initial post you’ll see that I refer to amazon as a waste of time and “best” is in quotes. There is no need for the level of hostility when I have made it clear that I am not a shill. I am new to reddit (a long time anonymous reader) and I am tempted to leave only because folks are so rude but I don’t want the rude ones to think that I really am a shill and you’ve chased me off - because I am not. I’m staying and I would love to have productive discussions on ways to stop spending time and money on shopping if you would like to have that kind of conversation. And thank you for those who have read my post for what it is and have been supportive.
