Does a baby doll hobby really seem like something to get up in arms over to you?

If they're being made more or less for the purpose of exploitation of vulnerable people, which, as far as I can tell, is one of the primary reasons these exist, then yes.

Otherwise, no. It's still pretty fucking weird imo though. If your hobby is having an ultra lifelike inanimate baby, then like, whatever, you do you, who am I to say if can or can't, but it's still weird.

But people get suuuuper defensive over these too. Like, why if its just a hobby? Like, I have a fondness for particularly crappy guitar gear, thats one of my hobbies. People thinks it's pretty weird. And yeah, it is weird because who would actually want this stuff, but I don't crack a hissy fit when someone tells me it's weird.
