I'm 24/m and live in the Netherlands (CEST). I'm on Reddit atleast a few hours a day, sometimes the entire day. I've had my fair bit of websites (wordpress & SMF) and forums for local and gaming groups.

I think this subreddit currently revolves too much around people looking for a game and mmorpg news. There is a limited amount of games people suggest and half the topics on the first page are people looking for a game where said limited amount of games are being repeated over and over. It's as if this subreddit has nothing else to offer.

The subreddit looks boring. I personally don't mind it since the only reason I visit /r/mmorpg is because I just wonder whether there's any new game out yet. I do however think that if things get spiced up whether it be with interesting topics, changes to the UI or general atmosphere of the subreddit I would be far more willing to interact with the community of /r/mmorpg.

Things I liked about modding were my personal quality being translated to a more enjoyable user experience for the members of a certain community. Members happy > I'm happy.

I've played a lot of mmorpgs since I was a child. It started with 2d Runescape and I've played probably about 90% of the mmorpgs out there from that point on. I've had my own guild in a couple games as well. One of the biggest positions in an mmorpg was being alliance leader in Lineage 2 where I had my own guild (120 members) and our alliances which would all be on the same Teamspeak being led by me to take over castles/pvp enemy alliances from time to time. I could talk for days about those moments. My favorite game definitely is Lineage 2.

I do think it's normal that people tend to be hostile in this subreddit since people are really passionate about their mmorpg-opinion, afterall some of us have spend a huge part of our lives behind our characters in certain games. I do however also think one can voice his or her opinion without intimidating others.

As a moderator I'd want to be all about improving the quality of this subreddit, such as having suggestions on how we can change how the subreddit looks and how we can get the community more involved with the subreddit. I'd also want to interact with the members of this subreddit so that it feels like some sort of home, just like a guild in a mmorpg.

I don't know anything about automod conditions nor do I know anything about being a moderator on Reddit. I do know a little about css but as someone who's about to graduate design I really prefer having nothing to do with it since I'm going to take on a very different study after this because I'm really not cut out for coding.
