i think your insight about people investing without a clue is correct, but your conclusion that this is a top, is wrong. There are more people that have bought ethereum with very few clues as to what ethereum actually is or does. This reddit is a microcosm of that view in as much as the types of questions coming from the noobs, what is "raiden+metropolis" was a recent question, which says to me again they did not do any research to try and learn about this space let alone ethereum. However, in my own view part is due to opression/(overt+covert) financially/economically/spiritually/morally as more a sign of the times. People want out of all of it and will leap towards any idea/investment/avenue, that portends to provide a respite from the day to day monotony of which the system currently eschews. There is no formal education of the global populous, regarding financial endeavors/taxes etc. and this combined with the distractions/lack of education and oppression is mostly to blame imo. Therefore, your conclusion is not taking all of these factors into the overall equation. now when your taxi driver tells you to buy ethereum....we'll be really close then.
