I know I have things a lot better then many of you my parents are more on the extremely strict/protective side then the insane/abusive one but I thought I’d thought I’d ask a question or two here because I find myself embarrassed to talk about my relationship with my relationship with my parents to people I know irl.

Do you guys find yourself hiding from your parents? I leave my room 2 maybe 3 times a day (depending on wether I eat breakfast that day) now that I don’t have classes. I find it’s the only way to 100% guarantee I won’t get in a fight with my dad. I suspect he has anger issues that need professional help but, any time I bring it up to my mom she’s quick to find an excuse. Him and I are both too head strong to back down from an argument so It’s gotten to the point where simple arguments escalate all the way to him threatening to kick me out of the house. That’s why I see no option but to avoid him completely.

I’ve completely cut myself off from my family despite us all living in the same house and it sucks especially this time of year.
