I intend on calling up at the very least L'Oreal tomorrow to find out once and for all what their wholesale policies are but i suspect you're right and that they're fairly rigid and have strict rules as to who they will sell to. I encountered a similar response the other day when i called up Gibson who are less rigid but will only sell to brick and mortar businesses and require certain models to always be in stock which.

As for the counterfeit issue, i'm glad you brought it up as i was somewhat unaware of this -the target fiasco- . I've been looking for manufacturers for ages and there are so many scammers out there that the simplest solution to me is to just call up the brand of the product I want and ask them directly how to buy off them. I haven't yet worked out what i'll do if I cant purchase directly off them but after browsing through alibaba I just dont think im willing to risk using other channels. I do intend on being very visible with many aspects of the business as I want my business have a very communal and helpful atmosphere. I want customers to see it as a tool they can use to further their own goals rather than a business trying to turn a profit.

I'm aware of massdrop and I admire their business model. I know this doesn't mean much and is kinda superficial but I did independently come up with this idea albeit 3 years late. I was kinda hoping that no one would bring it up here heh... for reasons......but at the same time i do think they are a fantastic business and perhaps it is actually beneficial for everyone to be aware of the company at least so that you can familiarise yourselves with the concept.
