MS Stalemate

Warning: a bit of tough love.

You need to stop the cycle of pushing yourself then ending up in bed the next day. You need to manage your energy levels so that you do little bits when you are feeling well. You are not doing yourself any favours here, and there's nothing anyone else can do for you to fix this. You have to manage this yourself.

You are a square peg and life is designed for round pegs. We do not fit in with an able bodied society. No matter how much you hammer yourself in or strip pieces of you away, you are never going to fit in those round holes. So you can either accept that and stay your wonderful, unique self, or you can continue to lose pieces of yourself but still get no where.

As for others, F&÷k what they think. If they are thinking things about you then that's their problem, you have far too many important things to do than spend energy worrying about them. Reach out to your local MS group and your local disability employment services. Talk to them about what you need and what you want, and let them guide you to jobs that may be suitable - you never know, you could find something you never thought of that you love! And it needn't be full time either, part time is fine.

Stop fighting yourself and MS; you have no control over it. Start fighting FOR yourself, don't let MS steal YOU.
