You can always ask for your old parts back at this point there probably in the garbage but you can say I want the old parts , in some cases there’s a core charge but on the brakes no, if you had the brakes done and still failed inspection then you may have some recourse as the “new parts/work” shouldnt fail

Also for the miss fire have them put in writing why they changed the distributor as that bill says the tech pulled a trick called “ throw parts at problem see if any fix it” the distributor didn’t “fix” the problem so they shouldn’t have billed for it( it’s just being a bad mechanic not necessarily malicious)

Also they say it has spark/fuel/ compression and can’t find why it has miss fire.......how’s the timming? Did they put distributor in correctly what is the compression on the miss fire cylinder

Also when the lights on it’s an automatic fail with most inspections
