My Fi Rant

I could try explaining why I get the vibe that Fi = selfish, even though I know it really isn't like that.

In group conversation for example I've noticed that strong Fi-users really let their emotions control the pace of the conversation. If they feel strongly about something, they'll dictate it and.. it's very emotional. They can get into revolutionary mode where they're rambling about what they find important and it seems to energize them a lot.

It seems selfish because that often that kills all the other directions the conversation could have taken. Few people will jump on the bandwagon with the Fi-user. And because what they're saying is now the official "right attitude to have", other people are afraid to direct the conversation to any other direction.

I can see this happening all the time and it's something I'd rather stay away from. With the bandwagon jumpers it becomes one big group-think fest and they're not really being "rational" or trying to "think about the stuff" but following and building on their emotional impulses. Idk, perhaps I look like the asshole for the Fi-users when I don't cherish "the right morals" in those moments.
