My Hero Academia Season 4 Episode 18 - Manga Reader Discussion Thread

I have to agree with everything. The improvement is definitely noticeable. There's a drastic difference between the beginning and now. The character models are always good and the proportions seldom feel off. The animation is also really consistent unlike the the first half, where some scenes were really good and others not so much and just fell apart. It wasn't exactly bad but disappointing for sure. Some of the best manga panels that I remember from the adapted chapters of today's episode were done the justice they deserve. This isn't even an exaggeration and I think I'm more confident in having high hopes for the remaining episodes.

Hopefully they'll go plus ultra on the fight and the following concert. I have no idea if it's due to animators returning from the movie because I don't even know which ones are working on this episode (or even most of the ones from before), but considering the timing it's very likely that's actually the case.

Gentle and La Brava's VAs were fitting, their dynamic was even more hilarious than I remember it in the manga and EVERYTHING else was just on point.
