N•Listen's new high win-rate Anti-Meta Deck and Guide

I want to try and clear up all the confusion around this whole "M.E.T.A." sub argument here....

First off lets start with the definition of the term. It is actually an abbreviation of a term using mostly in gaming, meaning: Most Effective Tools Available. This usually refers to games where you can select multiple units, characters, cards, etc, to build a team, deck, army, etc. Now, in terms of Pokemon Duel, to M.E.T.A is to use the Most Effective Tools Available...

Here is where things get a little intricate. What makes a figure or team M.E.T.A.? The easiest answer would obviously be using the 6 best figures in the game currently. The intricate part is that a team or figure can also be M.E.T.A. based on other stipulations. A teamor pair is also highly M.E.T.A. if they synergize so well that they create a highly consistent winning teams even thou they are not individually strong, ie any of the deoxy forms, manaphy/water teams, vibrava/shuppet, reshi/zekrom, are just a few. Lastly something can be considered M.E.T.A. if it specifically counters something that is also M.E.T.A., but is required to maintain competitiveness, ie (metagross to stop reuni/deo back in their peak, tropical plate, deoxyN in a deo.dec to deal with mews, ect.).

Another way to use the term M.E.T.A. is to use it as word to describe a state in the game. For example, it is M.E.T.A. for people to use less runners. While this does not actually define a specific team or figure, it refers to the slower pace and less aggressive state of the game.

For something to definitively be considered anti-M.E.T.A., it needs to follow a couple of guide lines: something not highly used, directly counters a specific M.E.T.A., and unexpected/unprepared for in the current M.E.T.A. To give an example, Dark Energy when it first came out was extremely M.E.T.A. It was brand new to the game, directly attacked its current M.E.T.A., and was something that people hadnt/couldnt prepair for. After time Dark Energy became part of the M.E.T.A. and just as quickly as it came, left the M.E.T.A. as well.

The main thing to remember is that the M.E.T.A. of the game constantly evolves and changes. What can be considered M.E.T.A. one day or week may not be, just like Dark Energy was. The confusion here is that people are arguing about the current time frame of the M.E.T.A. While this team was not considered M.E.T.A. and could be classified as anti-M.E.T.A. in the past when Listener first put it together, the current state of the M.E.T.A. is that this team is considered M.E.T.A. The core 4-5 figure base of the team is highly used and to much success by some. This by definition makes the team. Just because each piece is used to "counter" another popular figure being used does not make it "anti". This game and more important each individual figure are suppose to be made to be weak to something ie, figures with big purple wheels are weak to yellow attacks, terrakion is good against blue segments, shuppet is weak to kirlia, while kirlia is weak to coballion.

In closing, does it matter if this is deck is "truly" anti-meta?? does listener care if it is or isnt? is the sky really blue? will we ever get quads back? You decide! :)

TLDR: dont read this, its just for feeding trolls!!
