The /r/NewZealand Mental Health Post

yea you're in luck. i was going thru a similar thing where i studied but was depressed and anxious as fuck and was just straight failing or dropped most my papers. then i realised i basically got myself in about 12k debt for pretty much nothing accomplished. i emailed the main office then called a student advisor boss/manager/main guy and told him look, i'm in this debt and i've been diagnosed and i obviously wasn't mentally well at the time i applied and am still going thru treatment. they called my psychiatrist for confirmation and lifted 10k of fees off. it wasn't thru study link though, it was directly from the uni. the remaining 2k was for the papers/credits i passed.

main thing was i didn't know wtf i wanted to study and was convinced that a 3 year bachelors was the only way. then i finally figured out what i finally wanted to do after a couple years break from studying and decided i only needed a year diploma for the new programme i took up and studylink still approved it all and it's going smoooooth.

good luck! :)
