Need advice about dealing with a boss trying to fire your manager

Hi when a big, big, big, boss , like plant director, talk to a usual IT guy, about firing the top lv IT management at the same facility, ..well, he (the big one) expects to be on his side, and ... probably take later the responsabilities of your manager (usually with the lower rate than the previous manager ))))

..I've never participated in such adventures, but it sounds dirty... so, with all above in mind, prior of going to this super high lvl baboon meeting about firing your manager, just ask the big plant baboon, why you should be part of this meeting, when you are not the one who make the decisions for your own manager...and you are not part of the management (part of baboons on the higher part of the palm tree)... so, why you should be able there and why you should be part of this decision.. ask the baboon also what exactly he expecte from you in such a situation, share your thoughts and tell that going against own manager is not in your usual character and daily tasks... just be straight... ...if you are lucky, and the big plant baboon is adequate, you might become the higher lv IT little baboon with a higher salary and personal connection to bigger plant baboon good luck
