yeah it really does cost that much, my understanding is that the japanese development and manufacturing process is very pricey. obviously that's not to say topre aren't slapping a decent markup on it by the end though.

to me, it's worth the money, but i'm a hardcore topre fanboy, so of course i'm going to say that. i think the only real advantage it has over its counterparts is a more comfortable and satisfying button feeling. as far as i know, the implementation of capacitive switches is a first for high-end mice. i'm absolutely loving the crisp but soft and quiet feel of the top switches, it's definitely reminiscent of their keyboards.

the software is small, straightforward, easy to use and comes with an English option (thankfully). you can load presets into the mouse itself, which is nice.
