Well, the goal seems very reasonable, but still quite surprising, considering it's $175 for such a barebones product. I personally could never justify it.

This project reminds me of the guy that was trying to fund a recreation of the G100s, but with modern sensor, side buttons, lightweight, etc - but I think he was requesting a ridiculous amount of money, despite the cost per unit being cheaper than this project.

Probably also helped this project had prototypes to send out for review and get some eyes on it outside the /r/mousereview community.

Does anyone know what ever happen to that guy trying to do the G100s recreation? Wish it had more realistic funding goals.
