I've definitely spoken to customer service in the past (not Razer or mouse related) and they can sometimes say something like "While this doesn't fall under warranty protection, we have decided to make a one time exception..."

I think that's what OP is trying to do at this point. Make themselves an exception by airing out some dirty laundry on social media. Hoping a CM sees it, and does a good deed, in order to avoid potentially bad social media publicity that's being spread.

Now, I hope that doesn't happen because then this sub will devolve into a bunch of Karen's trying to get their way complaining about products all the time in hopes to get free stuff.
