When the popular vote doesn't elect your president it's the system and not the voters. The electoral college (maybe) made sense a hundred years ago. It no longer makes sense and results in systematic failure anytime it goes against the popular vote.

Now as an independent it's very easy to comprehend that the world is made up of differing opinions. The difference is I respect everyone's right to be as big an asshole as they like AS LONG as you are not affecting or controlling anyone else with your bullshit. You don't get to tell people what they can and can't read, you don't get to deny healthcare because your fairy tale God somehow gave you the idea that you have dominion over other people's bodies and you don't get to get away with it without a fight (non violent of course) just because dumbasses sometimes outnumber everyone else.

The only RIGHT way to be is when you respect everyone's individual freedoms and rights enough to not interfere with them. Fascism is a disease and minimizing it by saying "well they think they are right too" is exactly how intelligent people allow a democracy to turn into Russia and China and everywhere else where "elected" officials turn a job with term limits into a pseudo dictatorship.

I don't care if you think you're right...Are you ACTUALLY right? Can your ideals and beliefs sit side by side with the equality, fair treatment, and freedom that is promised in our constitution. If it can't then you are wrong. Full stop. And I won't sit by quietly indulging superstitious dullards who think they are "right" while making catastrophic decisions for me and those I care about.

I'm not an overthrow the government type and will respect a fair election when I see one. I'm still waiting on that miracle.
