So I am considered in remission from iih but the drs kept me on diamox and topamax still more as preventative because it took forever to get my headaches handled. I don’t really have any symptoms anymore but back in 2013 when I got diagnosed I had a headache for about 2 years straight. It felt like a ton of pressure was built up all over my head, like it was going to explode, and as if I had a headband squeezing tight from ear to ear on the top of my head - a lot of people describe the pain as if their head is being squeezed in a vice.

I do still get migraines occasionally now and it does somewhat sound like what you are having. They are usually located in just my temples or behind my eyes. Sometimes I get some that feel like a knife stab to the head for a few seconds, sometimes they happen every night if the weather is wonky or something but I can tell they feel different than pressure headaches.
