I think they were alive and not a reaction. You can kind of tell if there is thought behind the eyes.

Look for rekt in the description of each catalog of pictures. Every once in a while, someone will post a drug cartel rekt. All of the rekt are pretty gory, though. I would not recommend viewing. I watched and thought that I could take it, that it was no big deal. It wasn't at first, and I could ignore it. But now I find it absolutely horrific and cannot watch. Messes with your mind, and not in a good way.
