My initial post has no argument. Perhaps I should not respond to comments.

The only replies I seem to be receiving are those that suggest the question is not valid or if I am asking the question than I must be frustrated or have other personal issues or the question should not be asked because if someone were to reach nirvana they would become prideful and boastful and we would not be able to tell if the had indeed reached nirvana by asking them questions or examining their behavior. In short do not ask the question - its taboo. I'm sorry it is my Buddhism too, and I don't see why I can't ask a question like anyone else. There are others who are also interested in the responses to my questions. I do feel I should not have to defend against personal attacks. If I person can't answer my question then don't post a comment. Simple
