I'm sick of people excusing Jessie J and her homophobia. Bisexuality isn't a phase, you don't grow out of it. You either are or not. It feeds into the stereotype many bisexuals go through in that they are assumed to be attention-seekers or that they don't know who they are. The fact that Jessie became a born-again Christian and that she only disavowed her bisexuality when she hit the mainstream and was trying to break the more conservative America is telling. I do think she's very talented and won't ever stop listening and buying her music because I'm perfectly capable of separating the art from the artist but let's not minimize what she has done. Her career has never recovered from those remarks because the LGBT community was a strong supporter. Maybe she can release a Gospel album.
