Non-Visual / Internal / "Deep" Aspects of Gender

Interesting...

I have noticed that I have always, since I was a very little kid, socialized like a boy. I've always felt at home talking to boys/men because boys/men often like to base their conversations off of humor and only when we're SUPER close will we talk about "real" stuff (see, I'm AFAB and already lumping myself in with the guys haha). Women (sorry for the sweeping generalization) seem to be a little more serious, talking about each other's relationships and emotions and it's always made me kind of uncomfortable. I actually loathe talking to cis women, and particularly cis/het women. Unless we randomly have some shared intellectual or geeky interest, I feel like I have nothing to talk about, and certainly can't relate to what they talk about. Even when I identified as lesbian I didn't make any long-term lesbian/queer-women friends.

90% of my closest friends have been cis gay men, and one heterosexual cis man. I just relate to them better, I get along with them better. Men seem so much less complicated, more easy-going.

Oddly enough I am mostly attracted to women, so it's no wonder why my relationships are so frustrating. :)
