The short answer, YES! Some might have 1 assertive partner and still have sex but happens often. We have always been DB, I think wife is like you and she said that she wasnt wired for monogamy. We are super close in every way but sex and she has flat out told me I dont do it for her in bed. We were open for a while but she did get jealous of me with others so she wanted me to be exclusive to her and truthfully, I liked that she wanted it. Sounds weird I know.
