So, when I learned that there’s a real issue with birds being killed by wind turbines, my husband and I started calling these things ‘bird slicers’. When windmills are used near endangered species they either use radar to detect birds flying close and stop the windmill or if it’s a really endangered species they geotag each individual to stop the turbine. This is why there has been development for other shapes of wind turbines such as vertical cylinders or trees with leaves that collect wind power or wind cylinders that collect air at car tunnels. The color of these giant wind turbines actually messes with some birds eyes and they either can’t see them or they actually attract them like giant flowers.

Tl;dr wind turbines kill birds so we call them bird slicers.
