Nvidia, stop being a DICK

I'm way too tired to fully understand what points you're trying to make so I'm just gonna say this. Nvidia wants to be perceived as having the best tech by the customers. So even if the develops don't use their stuff and shut out AMD, people will still buy Nvidia over them and at a higher cost. Perceived value is ways king in a consumer market. Nvidia is truly acting as any company that wants to win in a capitalist market should.

Musk practices a form of socialism. Make everything open so anyone can do what they will. Musk is probably the single biggest supporter of human innovation in the world. That is literally all he cares about. The losses his companies take are completely by choice. As I said, he just wants the tech out there more than he wants money. So he set the prices in such a way that if he could pay the 5k out of pocket per car, he will because more people can buy it. He could easily raise the price and turn a profit but he chooses not to.

My original comment was to point out that the two companies are so different in their very core that the comparison was asinine. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Yes they are both fruits, I'd love it if when I ate an orange I didn't have to peel the fruit so juice wouldn't drip down my hand. I'd also love it if apples lasted as long as oranges when and didn't go soft and turn rotten since quickly. The only things that make them similar is their classification.

Sure it'd be nice if a lot if companies were more like Musk's companies and gave out their tech for free. But the fact they're companies is the only similarity. The motivations of the owners are completely different. The business models are in no way similar. The corporate structure is completely different. The desired results are as far from each other as possible. Nvidia's goal is to make as much money as possible. Tesla's goal is to spread a clean running and one day fully self driving vehicle to as many people in order to cut down on out carbon footprint and loss of life due to car accidents. One is for the advancement of themselves, the other is for the advancements of the human race.

Tldr: I never said anything about qaulity or support for Nvidia or tesla. I was solely trying to point out that asking for one to do the same as the other is ridiculous and that Tesla's way is guaranteed to lose at capitalism by design.
