Oculus Roomscale & Oculus Touch test

"I'm just saying stating a strong preference without experiencing touch seems closed minded."

How is this a strong perference? "I am still open to try the other option later and changing to it if I do like it more. I enjoy how it felt and I know that oculus will do a great job with tracking but I prefer how the wands sit in my hand."

"I'm just saying that to claim a preference without experiencing both systems is... just plain silly." He went as far as to 3D print the touch controllers to know how they felt in hand, this gives a pretty good assumption about how the final product will feel in hand. He said that he assumes that both devices will have good tracking that works great for both products, so the only thing that he's really missing out on here is how it would feel with more weight in hand and how they are after long playing sessions.

He also stated that the ONLY reason he currently has a perference is because of how they felt in hand, and as both devices most likely will have good on par tracking that is the biggest factor to consider. "The only reason I have such an opinion is because I just preferred the Vive's wand and how it felt to me. Nothing more."

"seems closed minded." "I personally make opinions off of experience not purchase justification."

It's far from a closed minded perference that isn't based off experience. He stated that he 3D printed the controllers to get a feel in hand, this is the biggest factor to consider if we assume that both of these devices will have good tracking. He experienced how it felt in hand, so what did he miss from the final product? How they feel after long playing sessions and the weight of the touch controllers. Weight is a much smaller factor than what feel is and if anything they will weigh more than the empty models he 3D printed, I'm expecting that most people don't see heavy touch controllers as something positive for feel (they just need to be light and balanced in hand) and especially not for long gaming sessions, so even taking the extra weight that the final version will feature out of the deciding factor out of his opinion he still would want to use the Vive wands because of their feel in hand.

He said that his current perference was because of how they felt in hand and that he would be open to change his opinion if the final product was very different from the model he 3D printed. You can have personal preferences without the intent to try and "justify" your purchase for everyone as you seem to think that he is doing.
