We just had to put down my dog and I’m devastated. She was the sweetest greyhound girl and I’m so sad I only got to spend four years with her.

She was getting surgery to remove a benign tumor which went okay, but once she woke up from the anesthesia she had really bad issues with her breathing. We considered bringing her to the emergency vet, but our vet told us that even if they were able to help her, it’s very likely that she would have suffered severe brain and organ damage.

We thought it would be the best for her if we put her down. I just got home a few hours back, and the house just feels so empty now and I don’t know what to do.
