I was just thinking how the new Untucked needs these. Obviously WoW lost budget because sponsors moved on or whatever, and maybe we can't afford to have Ru narrate the series anymore, but the kiki-on-the-couch scenes by themselves are fine.

What's not fine is the lameass piano, the black and white slow-motion shots, the in-color slow-motion closeups while the bottom queens practice their lip sync, the in-color slow-motion reprise while the bottom queens actually lip sync, and the REALLY LONG GOODBYE to the eliminated queen. How many of you actually watch the third act when it isn't a queen you were genuinely interested in?

The interactions this season are actually veering unusually close to classic Untucked, which makes me think the producers are finally egging them on a bit more. This is good for entertainment reasons, and it's why we got iconic moments in the old Untucked. Just don't saddle everything else with bizarrely heavy mood music and mandatory chunks of slowmo, packing, letters we don't get to read, and the hugging of crew members we don't know.
