On shaming in the polyamorous community

And the thoughts that go with them aren't always valid.

I see, "My feelings are valid!" regularly used by people who also then claim it's valid to, for instance, interrogate their partner about glancing in the general direction of any potentially attractive person before then throwing a plate at their partner's head.

I struggle to call any of that "valid." It is accurate that such a person is feeling what they feel. Their feelings exist. And they certainly don't have control ignore them! Obviously! But I don't actually care, because their behavior is horrible and they need to do everything in they possibly can to not only behave better, but also to change their feelings. No, they should not be angry that their partner glanced in the general direction of another human. Invalid.
