Thank you for your reply. I'd like to respond to some of your comments:
It's just with the recent attacks in Paris,Brussels,now Orlando at what point is it enough that we go ok you know what clearly Islamic culture is not compatible with western culture, frankly It doesn't desire to be compatible.
If that is your criteria of incompatibility, then these terrorists have more incompatible against Muslim-dominated countries then non-Muslim ones. There are more attacks on Muslims by these terrorists then the news bother reporting. You mentioned the Paris attacks, a day before that attack, a similar group of terrorists attacked in Beirut and killed 50 people. But the media here does a poor job reporting these attacks, so when an attack on a Western country does occur, it seems that the only victims are the Westerners, perpetuating the myth that all or most Muslims are in war with the west. The Pakistani army has lost soldiers on the 'War on terror' then any western country. There is a lot of crap that happens from Pakistan, but people had an inkling of the hell the country has been through since 2001, I think they'd have a slightly different opinion on the whole matter. A school was attacked, and over 100 children were murdered by these terrorists, my family has lost friends to a terrorist bomb blast in Karachi (that particular event went unreported in every western media).
These recent attacks in Paris, Brussels, Orlando, Karachi, Baghdad, Beirut, and so many other places that you've probably never have heard of have should that these terrorists are not compatible with anyone.
And it's really only a few crusty old men as you put. Why are we allowing these people into the country ? Why are we not deporting them.
By all means, do so. I abhor these individuals as much as you do. However, Canada accepts over 200,000 immigrants a year, enough to populate a small city. Tell me any city that doesn't have a few bigots and cranks, irrespective of religion. If you have a system to prevent any one of these individuals from entering the country, CIC should hire you asap.
if you want to come to Canada and make a better life and contribute to the country then great,fantastic you are more than welcome but don't come here and start dictating how our laws and customs are haram (apologises it I mis spelled that) and how WE need to change to accommodate your needs
I remember back in 2005, Harper stood in front of Parliament and demanded to repeal marriage equality. In 2006, I voted Liberal, partly due to their views on equality. Now why is it when a non-Muslim conservative wants to vote against a law isn't called out the same way Muslims are. Case in point, the education curriculum that the Wynn's government introduced. While there were a fair few Muslims in the protests, Muslim MPPs like Yasir Naqvi were in support of the new curriculum, whereas Conservative Christian MPPs stood with the protestors. There were calls for the 'Muslims' to go back home, while I don't remember anyone mentioning the same sort of vitriol against the non-Muslims. There is a strong double standards in these matters.
I imagine you'd have a lot in response, and I have a two response limit with these sort of discussions, so I'll leave you to the last word. Cheers.
