It's so exhausting to be admonished for others' bad decisions. When Trump won, the country was told by conservatives and media outlets that "people had been forgotten" and "nobody is listening to the concerns of millions of Americans." In your example, Trump supporters are still somehow victims of their own beliefs.

At what point can we hold those people accountable for their beliefs, their votes, and the action taken by officials they voted into office? When can we hold them accountable for sharing bogus stories on Facebook, perpetuating this sensationalist cycle of "news"?

They aren't victims - they have access to infinite sources of information to fact-check, and they have chosen to believe lies that fit their own skewed narratives of the world.
