[Online][Roll20][5thEd] Running Newbie Friendly Games

Heya!

Thanks for reaching out! I have to admit the amount of feedback I’ve gotten has been overwhelming! Overwhelmingly positive, but still overwhelming, so I apologize for it taking me a little while to get to you.

Sorry this is form-letter-y but I’m trying to just get a few questions out there to figure out where I can start putting people.

What kind of game are you interested in? Here’s the way I tend to break them down: Campaign - This is a long one, probably using the Lost Mines of Phandelver “Starter Set” and some extras, which averages sixty hours or 15-20 sessions and is definitely a “long haul” kind of commitment. Dungeon Crawl - This is something like Tales of the Yawning Portal add-ons and modules from Roll20, usually 2-3 sessions in length. They’re engaged but not something you need to clear a few weeks for. One-Shots - These are generally meant to get eaten up in one sitting over a few hours. They’re usually simple maps with combat encounters, riddles, and quick stories. Good for drop-in, drop-out play.

What day and duration works best for you? As an example, I play (currently) two nights a week for about four hours each. I’m available to run these games anytime from 6PM to 10PM Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday but I have a soft stop at 10PM during the week due to work in the AM.

Once I have all this info, I can start matching people up via their interests and roll out a schedule of sorts.

Thanks again for your interest!
