And who is to blame for that? Women are ruining men’s job perspectives by stealing careers from men only to quit when they get pregnant. If you’re planning on getting pregnant, then you have absolutely no business getting into a career. All you’re doing is stealing the spot of a man who could’ve continued working full time and building up valuable experience. There are a limited number of jobs that can support a family and women are taking them faster than they’re creating new jobs. The increased competition and willingness to accept lower wages (if you interrupt your career you lose bargaining power) of women also drives down wages for everyone else. Our faith teaches us that a woman’s first and foremost job is to be a homemaker and a mother. The rise in female labor participation has been correlated to a decrease in male participation and a decrease in average salary. I have no respect for women who get into lifelong careers (oftentimes that are male-dominated) and then expect to get married and have children. May God curse them with eternal bareness and singleness.
