I have over 700 nodes saved up for the new 5th job skill, but some of my decent skills aren't maxed yet.

Hello, fellow Paladin. I see that you're in need of some advice, and I am here to help.

You do not need to max any Decent skill nodes, since their duration is longer than cooldown even at level 1.
Decent Holy Symbol at level 1 gives 20% exp and 14% drop. At level 25 it gives 32% exp and 22%. As you can see, it's not a huge difference, so it is up to you whether to max it out or not.
Rope Lift higher than level 1 is a waste of Nodestone. DO NOT enhance it.
Max Divine Echo and Hammers of the Righteous. Those should be your top priority right now.
Weapon Aura is another important skill you'd want to max.
