The British phrase "stiff upper lip" has been around for a long time and indicative of how they go about their lives. The British people have always had a sense of duty and tradition. That is their culture. They are not necessarily the hugging/touchy feely types in public and maybe not in private.

Meghan lacks grace. The grace to understand a different culture and indeed a family who plays a significant role in that culture. Meghan lacks the grace to want to learn how to meld with and be accepted by that culture. Instead, she wants to be the brash Yank who's going to change the way things are done after thousands of years. Embarrassing.
