This is probably one of the best insights I’ve read about her - yes! She is always auditioning for approval acceptance adulation. Honestly as much I dislike here, I feel sorry for someone who has so much going for them in terms of advantages - looks, smarts, drive - but NEVER seems relaxed, joyful, peaceful and happy. When was the last time you saw her spontaneously enjoying a funny joke, hugging a close friend, letting someone else shine/take credit/be the star while she’s there? If I didn’t think she was such an intensely selfish and disordered person, I’d actually feel sorry for her - you are right! She is always “auditioning” and seeking approval, to “win” the point, get HER point/narrative out there - and so is never relaxed, natural and comfortable. I love your comment - it captures it!
