What Harry & Meghan keep getting wrong

I always wonder if it was said if it wasn’t just a family conversation about what a child might look like. My husband’s skin is English white and I’m Spanish olive. When I was pregnant conversations were had by us and in our immediate family about what colour our child’s skin might be, with some comments being my skin tone has advantages in the Australian summer as my husband burns badly and I don’t. It was the same as wondering what colour eyes our child might have based on our eyes. Isn’t wondering what genetic traits children might inherit from the parents normal and not necessarily racist?

I realise there are differences in the history/prevalence of racism toward certain ethnicities which changes how a comment or discussion like this might be viewed. If she/they were offended by it isn’t that something you just bring up/educate at the time and work out with family.
