Path of Fire - September 22nd Release!!!!

I never offered insult other than to suggest a possibility for why you might be acting this way. If you took that as an insult, it means you accepted the possibility as truth which would mean, you know, it's not an insult and simply a statement of fact.

Moving on: encounter design is very obviously a big difference. Anet devs recently stated in an AMA they specifically use FFXIV as inspiration for their own raids and fractal encounters. Armor and weapon designs are much sharper and more polished in FF, with minimal clipping, making a much more aesthetically pleasing experience. The pace of updates is faster. The writing has much more quantity as well as quality. Character models have more interactivity and weight, with better animation for both attacks/spells, emotes, and selectable idle poses, as well as server-side eye/head tracking. Sittable chairs. The world itself is lively and boisterous and full of dark flavour and pounds and pounds of lore which is actually all relevant to the story at different points. These are the things in which FF has more polish/production value on that GW.

GW does some things better, namely map design especially in regards to verticality and making the most use of space. But that alone doesn't raise the overall quality high enough to put it over FF.
