Why do people who feel professionally frustrated resort to gossip to feel better?

Maybe it's biased on my part, but I think the people who are always bitching about management are better employees.

Really? Let's say management has always tried to be transparent, has always been correct with you and others, but hey, the boss does something you don't like, so you start bitching about it like it's the end of the world.

You do this in front of your close coworkers, in front of new coworkers, etc, so that everybody understands how "wrong" the boss is. But you say nothing to the boss, because you are a f* coward.

What do you thing this creates inside the team after a while? And if another employee, like me, has no issues with the bosses, do I have to tread lightly to avoid fighting with coworkers and pissing my bosses? I don't think so...

We're bitching about the management because we care about the company.

Sure, if the company was a mess. But in my case, two ignorant assholes who are the lowest competent people in our team bitch about bosses just because they can, not because there's a reason. The company has not only done well, but keeps growing, so where's the error in management? Simple, there isn't.

The only difference between this and where I work, is I think everyone where I work realizes how useless most of management is.

That's what they say about part of management in my company, so what? You are in charge, you have the right to do nothing. If my coworkers were professionally fulfilled, like I am, they wouldn't have to go around acting like this, but would focus on their job, careers, and be happy, just the way I do. I can see that my boss is useless, but he pays me well, gives me jobs, and I'm happy, what do I care. And he's brought the company up from scratch, he can do whatever he wants.

Instead, I have to either join the banter against him, ignore the banter, or plain and simple insult my coworkers so they shut the fuck up and talk about something else...
