I would like to offer a ritual for this grimoire, but I noticed the tentative deadline has already passed.

First, a ritual from my own Shadowmancy tradition:

Move Into Shadow Short Description: Perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram 3 times. The first performance moving and aloud. Trace the pentegrams beginning with the Fire point (lower right). The second performance moving and silent. Trace the pentegrams beginning with the Air point (upper left). The third performance still and silent. Trace the pentegrams beginning with the Earth point (lower left).

For the third performance, I transition to a seated lotus position.

The Shadowmancer thoroughly banishes Fire, Air, and Earth, fully aligning themselves with the properties of the Water element [moving and silent].

This ritual was designed for fully defensive purposes, intended for use when the Magician requires action only, a reactive mindset. Without fully indoctrinating the magician into a Shadow Magic tradition, the operant principle states that Shadow has no "Will", therefore it merely responds/reacts, like Water. Imagine the way you might dig a hole on the beach and water fills it in, not willfully, but merely as a reactive principle. Shadow aligns with Water as Light aligns with Fire, to impart some understanding of the how/why of this particular ritual.

Use this ritual any time the Magician perceives "action only" as necessary. As an example, before taking a test. Will no longer seems necessary, the only operant principle remaining, Water, to fill in what has already been acquired.

Long Description

For the performance of Move Into Shadow the Magician may select one of three possible weapons: Dagger, Wand, or Hand. The Magician should consecrate the weapon (an empty-hand performance obviously requires no consecration) before performing the ritual.

Stand, facing east. Bring your weapon from skyward down to your forehead intoning the word "Ateh" while thinking/knowing this means "Thou Art".

Move your weapon to your groin intoning the word "Malkuth" while thinking/knowing this means "The Kingdom".

Move your weapon to your right shoulder intoning the words "ve Geburah" while thinking/knowing this means "and The Power".

Move your weapon to your left shoulder intoning the words "ve Gedulah" while thinking/knowing this means "and The Glory".

Move your weapon to the center of your chest, pointing forward, and intone the word "Le-Olam" while thinking/knowing this means "Forever".

When you trace each pentagram, visualize them in your mind as a bright blue burning flame. For the first performance, trace each pentagram beginning with the Fire point (lower right).

Point your weapon skyward and intone the word "Amen" knowing/thinking this word means "Completion".

Trace a pentagram with your weapon in the East and vibrate "Yod Heh Vav Heh", the Tetragrammaton.

Trace a pentagram with your weapon in the South and vibrate "Adonai"
