I agree with you. I made this comment before and was downvoted to hell, but my Pit is the most non aggressive dog. A freakin pomeranian ran up to him while on a walk and he was so intimidated by it that he just froze and pissed himself. Other people walking by will swerve wildly around or cross the street to avoid him, but he legit just pauses and let's them pass cause he's super shy.

"It's the owner not the dog" doesn't fly with me. I get they are a breed that is known for being aggressive, but it's really the training that makes the difference. A lot of owners don't put in the training with their dogs and that is what causes problems. Hell, I had a dalmatian as a kid that was more aggressive than a Pit because he wasn't trained properly by my parents. I have a scar from him biting my face out of nowhere. Point is, any dog can be aggressive. Any. Different breeds have different needs and that has to be recognized
