Other than signing Lehner. Bowman failed this past offseason.
Everyone knew about Haans injury history, yet Bowman still went for it. I personally like Haan, but he’s very injury prone. So the negative out weighs the positive.
Buffalo fleeced us for Joki. I guarantee Joki would’ve been a Top 4 for us, eventually.
Maatta, although has shown some games where he’s good, is nothing special and is slow, and that’s being nice.
Shaw, I love Shaw. But the price to acquire him was high, and he hasn’t really worked out like most had hoped. And now these rumours about him possibly retiring don’t help. I hope he returns, but if not. All the best to him, but another fail for Bowman.
Ryan Carpenter is whatever, good contract I guess, but he’s not a difference maker. I’ll take it as a win for Bowman.
And the best for last, I applaud Bowman for signing DeBrincat to a small extension. However, Strome is still without an extension. Hopefully Bowman signs him to an extension soon.
