The US is not the UK. In the States people are "Innocent until proven guilty". If I were fired for being charged with a crime I didn't commit and were later found not guilty in a court of law, I'd better be able to file a lawsuit for wrongful termination and get back pay.

If you've never even considered the possibility that evidence like that can be planted, you need to dig deeper. Anyone with 30 seconds and a flash drive could easily frame a guy he wanted to get rid of.

If the guy's genuinely guilty, fry the guy. But give the guy his day in court before you decide whether or not he's guilty. All you did was read a couple paragraphs in some news article.
