What they don't need are our crummy uploads. They've got the content. Probably all of it. LOL. So you have nothing that might be appropriate to share?

No, what I'm suggesting is that the bulk posters of the unmentionable content are not motivated by the uploads of the unwashed Usenet masses like you and me. Their posts are their creations, Usenet is their YouTube. They may want our admiration of their speed and efficiency, or our appreciation of the quality of their transcoding. Maybe they are in competition with others to see who can do it faster, better, cheaper, smaller, and so on. But I don't think what I post or don't post is on their radar.

Maybe they'll stop someday. The world is ever changing. For pocket change we can listen to any of 40 million songs at a whim. This might come to movies or television someday and change the landscape all over again. But if they do stop posting, I doubt it will have anything to do with my uploads (or lack thereof).
