Potentially unpopular opinion: I'm getting real tired of RPG Kickstarters becoming years-long tales of woe

It has been said again and again and again, but apparently it still doesn't make it through to some people.

You are kickstarting something. You are GIVING people money because you believe in a project and HOPE it sees the light of day. You are not, categorically NOT buying something like in a retail store. The sooner people accept that getting something in return for their support is a bonus, the less stress you will suffer.

Now, whether kickstarter campaigns are honest or there are delays or whatever is a different kettle of fish, but the essence remains: you are guaranteed of getting jack shit. You aren't buying something. You are supporting the potential creation of something.
