If China invades Taiwan they'll have to take out Kadena airbase first. Then the USA is directly involved. Then the rest of the West join in.

Bingo. If the PRC attacks Taiwan, its over for them. The Free World will not accept a tyrannical aggressor and will respond accordingly. It should also be remembered that the path for re-unification (or some other arrangement) was made clear to the PRC when the ROC-PRC UNSC switchover was arranged in the 70's. If the PRC is too stupid to seduce Taiwan into reunification with all their wealth and influence, then phooey to them. They've had since 1997 with Hong Kong to show Taiwan that it was possible to reunify without suffering oppression, tyranny etc, and they couldn't do it.

Absolute dunderheads....the PRC couldn't even manage a pretense for Taiwan's benefit to get the reunification they apparently crave then they've only showed themselves to be the village peasant unsophisticates we always suspected them to be.

I hope they do try something on with Taiwan, and I hope that the Free World deals them and their so called '5,000 year old civilization'.
